AvailableWe meet at the international departures terminal of Istanbul New Airport three hours before the flight (1 day before departure).
After completing baggage, ticketing and boarding procedures, we depart for Cape Town on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. We spend the night on board. Upon arrival in Cape Town, we board our private vehicle waiting at the airport and set off on our city tour of Cape Town, the “Mother City”, while enjoying our traditional welcome drink. Our first stop is Table Mountain, where, weather permitting, we take a cable car up to a height of 1087 metres for 360-degree views and the opportunity to photograph the magnificent city and ocean scenery. Located at the southern tip of Africa, Cape Town is a historic city associated with struggles for freedom and a destination of dazzling natural beauty. Sights include the Parliament Building, Company Gardens, Long Street, the Castle of Good Hope, the Reibeck Statue, Adderly Street, the Castle of Good Wishes and the Bo-Kaap district. After walking stops at Sea Point and Camps Bay to enjoy wonderful ocean views, we transfer to our hotel and settle into our rooms. Following time to settle in and rest, we meet in the lobby at the time specified by our guide and depart for our Welcome to South Africa Dinner at a local restaurant. We sample the wonderful flavours of South African cuisine and enjoy a pleasant evening overlooking the ocean. Afterwards, we transfer to our hotel and enjoy free time to relax. Overnight at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join our optional Cape of Good Hope & Hout Bay Tour with Lunch (150 Euro). We travel through Bantry Bay, Camps Bay and Clifton to reach the fishing town of Hout Bay. Weather permitting, we take a boat trip to see African fur seals in their natural habitat on Seal Island, with plenty of opportunities for photographs. We then travel by coach along Chapmans Peak Drive, built into the granite cliffs, to visit the Cape of Good Hope, discovered by Bartholemeo Diaz, and take the funicular to see the world's highest lighthouse. During our visit to the Cape of Good Hope, part of the Cape Floral Region, one of the richest floral areas on the UNESCO World Heritage List, we will see African antelope, Cape zebras, various reptiles, troops of baboons and charming African penguins, as well as 250 bird species. After the tour, we transfer to your hotel in Cape Town and enjoy free time. Overnight accommodation at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join our optional Giraffe House & Stellenbosch & Franschhoek Tour with Lunch (150 Euro). In Stellenbosch, South Africa's second-oldest town, we visit an estate producing some of the country's finest wines. The town is the heart of South Africa's wine industry, and the Stellenbosch Wine of Origin region includes 106 cellars. The town centre lies along oak-lined Dorp Street. We then see Stellenbosch University, with its distinguished old buildings, where modern student life intertwines with historical and architectural heritage. We enjoy free time for shopping in the town's boutiques and historic shops. We then visit Giraffe House to learn about wildlife and see the giraffes. Our next stop is Franschhoek, founded by the French in the 17th century and regarded as South Africa's food and wine capital. This charming town features some of the finest examples of Cape architecture and is now one of the most popular destinations for visitors. Settled by French Huguenots more than three hundred years ago, the Franschhoek Valley produces some of the world's truly outstanding wines from magnificent vineyards covering its mountain slopes. Here, we enjoy a wine tasting at a local estate. After the tour, we transfer to your hotel in Cape Town and enjoy free time. Overnight accommodation at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join our optional Icons of South Africa Tour with Lunch (130 Euro). Our first stop is Ostrich Ranch Cape Town, where our visit to the ostriches offers an opportunity to discover every aspect of ostrich breeding and farming, including leather goods production. We then visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden. Covering 528 hectares, including 36 hectares of cultivated gardens, this extensive garden celebrates South African flora. Featuring only indigenous South African plants, it brings together fynbos, proteas and cycads with rolling lawns, streams, ponds and well-laid-out paths for easy walking. After enjoying the magnificent scenery and the garden's various bird species, we head to the Treetop Canopy Walkway, which offers visitors an elevated experience of the forest. Its galvanised steel structure awaits you for an adventure among the trees and branches, high above the forest floor. We then transfer to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Enjoy free time for shopping at South Africa's most popular shopping destination, with more than 450 retail outlets selling everything from fashion, homeware and antiques to jewellery and technology. After the tour, we transfer to your hotel in Cape Town and enjoy free time. Overnight accommodation at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we check out and transfer by private coach to Cape Town Airport for our flight to Johannesburg with a local airline. Upon arrival, we board the vehicle waiting for us at the airport, and guests who wish may join our optional Lion Park tour (90 Euro). This magnificent park, where we have the opportunity to see wild animals and lion cubs up close, from lions and wild dogs to cheetahs and giraffes, will be one of the most enjoyable stops on our South African adventure. We then transfer to Pilanesberg National Park. After a journey of approximately 2 hours, we arrive and settle into our lodges. Together with our safari guides, the rangers, we enjoy a Boma Bush Dinner under the stars in the “Big 5” reserve, where elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo and rhinos roam. Overnight accommodation at our lodges.
We leave the hotel at sunrise for our safari tour. Guests who wish may then join our optional Safari tour (150 Euro). Travelling in safari vehicles, we have the opportunity to spend unforgettable hours surrounded by nature. In Pilanesberg National Park, we observe the daily lives of various wild animals in a natural volcanic landscape nestled among the mountains. During our excursion, we have the opportunity to see the most dangerous game animals, known as the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino—as well as 350 bird species, 65 reptile species and hundreds of other animal species. After the safari, we return to our lodges for breakfast. We then check out and transfer to Sun City, a paradise in the desert. Enjoy a full day of free time to take part in various activities in Sun City. Known as South Africa's Las Vegas, the city attracts thousands of visitors with its casinos, golf facilities, luxury hotels hosting spectacular sporting and entertainment events every year, and the magical The Lost City. Overnight accommodation at our hotel in Sun City.
After breakfast at the hotel, we check out and transfer to Johannesburg. Upon arrival, we set off on our Johannesburg city tour. Sights on our panoramic tour include the City Centre, Houghton, Mandela House, Rosebank and Sandton. Guests who wish may then join our optional Lesedi African Village Tour with Lunch (100 Euro). Lesedi consists of several different farms and traditional villages. Upon arrival, we receive a lively traditional welcome with a refreshing welcome drink. We then explore Ndebele Village and the craft market, where murals decorate the walls and courtyard. Afterwards, we have the opportunity to watch a visually rich theatrical presentation about South Africa's history and origins. After lunch here, we return to your hotel in Johannesburg for free time. Overnight accommodation at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we check out and depart for Pretoria. One of South Africa's three capitals, Pretoria is the country's administrative capital. Famous for its three major universities and jacaranda trees, Pretoria offers sights including the Paul Kruger Statue, Church Square, the President's Office, the Union Buildings, Kruger House and Melrose House on our city tour. We then set off with our guide for a walking and shopping tour of Nelson Mandela Square. Afterwards, we transfer to the airport.
